The orchard kept what the town had agreed to forget, and so did he. No. 08 opens with crisp green apple and a wisp of blossom, then deepens into a heart of cider must, chamomile and honeyed hay. The base is cedar, moss and a touch of vanilla pod; its sillage is soft and golden, like the last light through the lower branches.
